Michelle Carchrae
(She/Her/Hers)
MC, RCC
Michelle Carchrae is a registered clinical counsellor (RCC) with 5 years of experience working with clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and the effects of traumatic experiences in both adulthood and childhood. Many of her clients have ADHD or suspect they do, or are in relationships with people who have ADHD.
She has a Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle. She is also a Certified Focusing Oriented Therapist (FOT) and has additional training in ADHD and Neurodiversity. Michelle has training in and uses a variety of trauma-informed and trauma-specific healing modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
In addition to her professional credentials and training, she also brings her lived experience to understanding and supporting her clients. While she does not have an ADHD diagnosis herself, both of her two teenage children do, as does her husband. She has done her own therapy for many years, and remains committed to doing so as part of the self-care and continuing education she brings to her side of the therapy room.
